BCO East Anglia Talk & Tour: The Whittle Building
Join the BCO Cambridge committee for an exclusive tour of the Whittle Building, the new home of the University of Cambridge’s world-leading Whittle Laboratory.
The building provides a state-of-the-art environment for research into net-zero aviation and future propulsion technologies, bringing together advanced laboratories, collaborative workspaces and specialist testing facilities within a highly sustainable, research-led building. Designed to support pioneering scientific innovation while creating an open and inspiring workplace, the project showcases how engineering excellence, sustainability and architectural quality can be successfully integrated in a complex research environment.
The event will feature presentations from the project team, providing an overview of the vision, design and operation of the facility, followed by a guided tour of the building. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore key spaces within the laboratory, gain insight into the challenges of delivering a highly specialised research environment, and learn how the building supports collaboration, innovation and future adaptability. This is a rare opportunity to visit one of Cambridge’s most significant recent scientific research buildings and hear directly from those involved in its development and delivery.
